Just a few Past Projects at the Generator

BE Inspired. Create Art. #madeinthegenerator

If there is one thing The Generator does best it is being a home to build giant projects. Since 2013 there have been over 100 large projects built at The Generator including Embrace, Baba Yaga’s House, Puzzles and Prayers, Quality of Life, Stone 27, The Great Train Wreck, The Pier, The Space Whale, Bee Dance, Inside the Mind of DaVinci, Silicone Meadows, Temple of Mazu, The Life Cube, Library of Babel, Above the Limit, The Oracle and many, many more.

Every summer teams from around the world arrive to build their dreams. We have had crews from over 50 countries including Israel, South Africa, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Australia, Singapore, Lithuania, France, Czech Republic, England, Belgium and Russia. We are excited to get more people creating big art in our space once Oddie’s operational.

Baba Yaga’s House (2018)

“In collaboration with The Burning Man Project, Baba Yaga’s House is currently installed at Fly Ranch in Northern Nevada. The sculpture has a five-year lease at Fly Ranch and interested folks can visit the art via The Friends of Black Rock High Rock tours. Baba Yaga’s House was originally built for Burning Man 2018 as a Burning Man Honorarium grant recipient. This project is a love letter to my Lithuanian ancestors and a celebration of all strong women everywhere.” - Jessi Sprocket Janusee

Bee Dance (2019)

Bee Dance was created by Andy Tibbetts and Skiland Judd in The Generator for Burning Man 2019. These giant dancing bees were a climbing favorite during the last Burning Man pre-covid. In the Summer of 2021, Bee Dance was installed at the Neon Line in Reno, NV for all to enjoy.
