Truckee Roundhouse Maker Show June 26th 2022

Truckee Roadhouse is currently planning the 6th Annual Truckee Roundhouse Maker Show, June 26, 2022, at the Truckee Tahoe Airport. The Maker Show showcases and celebrates the North Tahoe artists, artisans, makers, engineers, and inventors that make our region unique, and is the largest outreach and fundraising event for Truckee Roundhouse, a non-profit community organization. Over 1200 people attend, locals and visitors alike. hands-on creative activities, inspired public art, art cars, handmade crafts, sculptures, food and drink by regional companies.

Signal Boost Season 2

Tune in every Wednesday at 7 pm on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
Our hyper-local show celebrating Reno art, music, mayhem. Amplifying Reno! GET ON THE BOOST! The show is a platform for all Northern Nevada creatives to share their work.
Signal boost is currently booking out their episodes 3 months in advance! If you’re interested in signing up to be interviewed on the boost email Info@RPRFM.org or DM @SignalBoostNV on Instagram

Signal Boost was started in February 2021 after the virtual Reno Punk Rock Flea Market. Many Flea viewers really enjoyed our virtual programming and wanted to see it expand beyond the Flea Market. The program has developed into a weekly show that’s founded on radical inclusion allowing anyone in Northern Nevada to be on the show and share their message. At the end of 2021, signal boost has interviewed over 56 local artists and groups across 31 episodes.

Teaching at The Generator

Genny U is taught by staff and set members of the crew on bigger equipment and our fabrication shops. Courses include Metal Working 101, Wood Working 101, Laser Cutting 101, etc. At this time, we will not be accepting workshop applications for classes that covers these introductory skills.
Workshops at The Generator are taught by members looking to share their skills and knowledge of the Arts while getting paid! Payment is based on class price, attendance and supplies cost. Clinics are our free-to-attend classes open to all members of the community, our past clinics have included bike clinic, religion round table, upcycle lab and mending clinics. Propose a clinic through the workshop instructor application.

We are also currently accepting applications for Genny Crew members who want a free membership in exchange for teaching regularly scheduled workshops at The Generator.

Knife Maker - Reno, Nevada

We make 400-600 knives a month, so this position requires a great deal of hard work and focus. We will teach you our process, but you must be good with your hands, comfortable around knives and machinery, able to take direction, and understand the importance of working safely and efficiently. The people we are looking for need to have dedication, be a quick learner, problem solver, and be good with people. We have a passion for enduring handmade goods and strive to continue to grow manufacturing.
