Grand Opening Canceled, Haunted Halloween Mini-Golf Event Canceled (ALL DAYS)
Grand Opening Event and Haunted Halloween Mini-Golf Postponed until further notice.
We will be hosting a member meeting at an off-site location. All current and former members are welcome to come and listen to our updates, ask questions and eat yummy snacks. We will release the time and date of this meeting when we secure a venue, but we expect it to be before November.
Unfortunately despite our late nights of hard work and our best efforts, we will be unable to open our doors in the month of October, and possibly through the end of the year. We have been unable to get approval from the building and safety divisions to move forward with our occupancy, which means we can not open to new/returning members or the public. Due to permitting that has continuously been updated, resubmitted and denied since June, we have to cancel all commitments in the space for the upcoming future, including The Grand Opening Party and all dates of The Haunted Halloween Mini-Golf.
We have hired and are working closely with professional architects, electricians, developers and construction companies who are helping to get The Generator operational. There is no quick fixes that will work to get us in our building sooner, as our hold ups fall on getting the building up to date for our projected occupancy.
We will keep everyone updated as things progress within the City of Sparks building and fire departments. Please keep your eyes open for newsletters and additional member meetings where we can discuss the newest updates and changes.
The staff, board, crew and all members involved in the re-opening are heartbroken over having to cancel this event. We had a great fire inspection last week, and were hopeful that we would be able to hold this event on the date promised. Until we know with absolute certainty a date that we can open, we are holding off scheduling new dates for the opening.
The Generator will continue to survive during this period of waiting, and we are all looking forward to getting back together once again. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this uncertain times.
Anyone who has purchased tickets for The Haunted Halloween Mini-Golf Event will be refunded through Classy, the site where tickets were purchased. Keep your eyes open for an email in regards to your refund.
If you are part of a build team, please ensure to submit all your purchase receipts via the reimbursement form. Build teams will be able to store their Haunted golf holes at The Generator until we are able to open. As of right now, we would like to either hold haunted mini-golf when we open (even though spooky season will be over) or rebrand the holes for a different theme.
Partial or completed holes may be dropped off at The Generator if first coordinated with the facilities manager Nick@Therenogenerator.com
